Abstract. A passive space bistatic GNSS-radar to be mounted on board of small spacecraft, is presented. The radar is designed for measurement of the ocean profile using GNSS signals. The system may be applied to monitor the ocean level and water surface roughness. Results of simulation and experimental studies are presented.
