QUALITY CONTROL OF OPTICAL ARTICLES MADE OF THERMOPLASTIC POLYMER MATERIAL

Abstract. Methods of control over technical parameters of optical elements made of thermoplastic polymer materials are described. Using plane-concave lens as an example, the methods of control over size, roughness, and residual stresses in the element are considered. Defects of lenses are results of measuring are analyzed, recommendation to polymer lens design and manufacturing aimed at improvement of the lens characteristics are formulated.
