Abstract. A two-wavelength method for accurate calibration of high-precision Sun photometers is proposed. The graphical analytical technique of Langley diagrams is considered as a functional analogue. It is shown, that despite the symmetry of the Bouger — Beer law mathematical formula with respect to optical air mass and optical depth of aerosol, development of Langley diagrams with mutual substitution of these parameters is impossible. An algorithm realizing the proposed method is presented.
