Abstract. The suggestion that output power of a PV solar module may increase due to ambient radiation reflected by a snow covering is tested experimentally.  The current generated by the additional radiation from underlying snow surface is determined. Experiments are performed to estimate the effect of snow on the module surface on the solar cell performance.
