Abstract. A method for calculating non-stationary temperatures of isothermal space object of conical and cylindrical shape moving along elliptic orbit in the plane of the terminator. A spherical object is taken as a standard. The method incorporates the equation of the movement of object along elliptic trajectory, algorithms of calculation of coefficients of the object illumination by the thermal radiation of Earth, and the equation of non-stationary heat exchange for the object in the near-Earth space. Thermal equivalence and the similarity for objects of the shape under consideration are revealed.
