Abstract. A probabilistic model of establishing connection between sender and recipient is proposed for assessing the functional reliability of infocommunication network. In the simulation model, the fact of established connection is determined as the delivery of a call within an allowed time. The time of the call depends on the selected virtual channel from the set of alternative routes taking into account the random distribution of faulty nodes and communication passes in the communication network.
