Abstract. The task of creating a general engineering methodology for the design of small-sized gears is justified. The problem is adapted to real conditions and does not require the user to be highly skilled in the field in question. The proposed methodology allows one to consider the features of design of gears from polymeric composite materials. The stages of the methodology are described briefly.
