EQUIPMENT FOR RESEARCH OF HF IONOSPHERIC MULTIPATH PROPAGATION EFFECTS

Abstract. Description of equipment for research of HF ionospheric multipath propagation effects is given. This equipment based on chirpsounding hardware, which used frequently-modulated continuous wave (FMCW) signals. The functional structure of this equipment is described, it working algorithms is given. HF multipath propagation characteristics is computed by software on basis of chirpsounding data. Obtained HF multipath propagation characteristics are classified by empirical multipath models; empirical multipath model is a combination of the certain types of partitial HF rays.
