Abstract. An approach is proposed for formulation of general requirements imposed on algorithms of digital processing of images in optoelectronic systems of the new generation. Consideration is given to principles of development and hardware realization of digital processing and image synthesis algorithms, elaboration of initial background-target models for the algorithms, quality estimation methods for image processing algorithms.
