ON APPLICATION OF HEAT TRANSFER EQUATION TO MODELLING THE EFFECT OF LASER RADIATION ON HUMAN SKIN

Abstract. Effects of human skin exposure to laser radiation are modeled both mathematically and digitally. Thermal sources caused by blood flow were introduced into heat transfer equation to account for the blood perfusion in tissue. Blood flow rate dependence on temperature is shown to affect significantly the effect of laser heating.
