Abstract. Dependence of the pressure acting on fluoroplastic gasket in down-hole device on working conditions is investigated. An expression for limiting axial loading on a gasket is obtained with the use of Shtribek curve, Reynolds hydrodynamic equation, and Boussinesq problem.
