FRICTION SELF-OSCILLATIONS IN MECHANICAL SYSTEM

Abstract. Accurate analytical method (point mapping) is applied to study a typical one-degree freedom mechanical system in the frames of nonlinear oscillation theory. The result is presented as a partition of the space of system parameters into areas of qualitatively different dynamic behavior.
