Abstract. A mathematical model is proposed for analysis of two- and multi-level pulse sequences at a finite automaton output, the automaton being designed in the form of a sum accumulator or a pulse counter. With the use of functions of integer-valued argument, compact analytical expressions are obtained for temporal and spectral domain description of pulse sequences at the finite automaton output.
