Abstract. In 400—900 nm spectral range, the secondary chromatic aberrations of a lens system consisting of a combination of "usual" glasses increase by a factor of 7.5 as compared with 480—643,8 nm range. It is shown that essential reduction of the secondary spectrum is achieved in three-lens systems with the use of at least one “special” glass.
