Abstract. An approach to the problem of automated uncertainty estimation of dimensional measurements with digital image processing is presented. The proposed method does not require any extensive supplemental experiments. Aprobation oft he method is carried out with measurements of industrial objects with mean percental deviation of 5 % from empirically estimated values.
