Abstract. A complex method is developed for alloy grade identification at input and operational control of metal components of high-energy power plants. Three nondestructive tests are applied: thermo-electromotive force measuring, the vortex-current and the magnetic methods. Hidden faults of incoming castings are revealed with X-ray examination.
