AN ALGORITHM FOR SEIDEL ABERRATIONS CALCULATION IN OPTICAL MEDIUM WITH ARBITRARY REFRACTION INDEX DISTRIBUTION

Abstract.   A method of paraxial ray tracing in nonhomogeneous media with refraction index depending on the three coordinates is considered. The possibility of calculation of paraxial segments and 3rd order aberration coefficients in optical system with inhomogeneous lenses is demonstrated by the example of a lens with sphere-concentric refraction index distribution.
