Abstract. The necessity of elaboration of new standards on the base of GOST 1643-81 in agreement with ISO recommendations is justified. Comparison of GOST 1643-81 and GOST 21098-82 with ISO standards (ISO 1328-1:1995, ISO 1328-2:1997) is carried out; advantages and disadvantages of GOST 1643-81 are considered.
