Abstract.   Metrological characteristics of a measuring optical-mechanical head are analyzed. The measuring range for diffuse-reflecting surface shape measurement, output signal amplitude, and measurement errors are studied. Comparative analysis of the head and existing certified devises is carried out.
Keywords:   optical-mechanical head, interferometric signal envelope, spring parallelogram mechanism, speckle modulation.
