Abstract. A method of control over laser cleaning process by means of laser-induced breakdown spectroscopy (LIBS) is presented. A spectroscopic criterion of safety cleaning of metering rollers is formulated; the criterion allows for surface structure retention at maximal cleaning effectiveness.
