Abstract.   A new method is proposed for measurement of sensitivity of optical detector to polarization of incident radiation. The method is based on harmonic analysis of output signal of the detector in “polarizer – discreet analyzer – detector” setup. The method accuracy is estimated with the use of digital modeling of the measurement errors. Results of experimental study of polarization sensitivity of silicon photodiodes and optical pyrometers are presented.
