Abstract. The problem of synthesis of the optimal motion program of a space rocket in order to minimize orbital injection cost per kilogram of payload is considered. The problem is formalized and reduced to a standard optimal control problem with constraints. The method of purposeful replacement of optimization functional is applied to solve the problem.
