DEVELOPMENT OF MODERN QUANTITATIVE SHADOW METHOD

Abstract. Original quantitative method of shadow image digitization is developed. The method is based on transformation of Foucault knife-edge shadow pattern into a geometrical model of shadow image of linear grating. The proposed approach is reported to provide a map of analyzed wave front deformations and image quality characteristics of the optical system.
