LASER-ASSISTED FABRICATION OF WAVEGUIDE STRUCTURES IN THE BULK OF POROUS GLASS PLATES SODDEN WITH GLYCEROL WATER SOLUTION

Abstract. The process of laser-induced formation of waveguide structures in the bulk of porous glass plates sodden with glycerol, water solutions of glycerol, and distilled water, is studied. The applied laser radiation is slightly absorbed by the plate material.
