Abstract. A mathematical model developed to calculate characteristics of laser mirrors and non-planar ring optical cavities is described. Results of numerical simulation are compared with experimental measurements of laser mirrors characteristics and spectrum of modes for practically important four-mirror cavities with non-planar symmetric axial contour. It is shown that the proposed mathematical model may be applied for optimal choice of laser mirrors and cavities with the account for their real parameters.
