A new structure is presented for a self-checking combinational device with a built-in control circuit implemented according to self-dual complement method for summation codes. In contrast to the known ones, the proposed structure uses a summation code encoder, which makes it possible to reduce the number of controlled functions. The considered method is a development of the known control methods - self-dual parity and self-dual duplication. No malfunctions that distort the outputs of the encoder on direct and inverse combinations are found in the object of diagnostics. The probability of the existence of such faults is low, and therefore a sharp increase in the percentage of error coverage can be expected compared to using the parity code and, quite possibly, compared to duplication with self-dual complement. The use of the method makes it possible to synthesize simpler devices than with the duplication method, as well as to build completely self-checking devices, even in the case when this is impossible during duplication. It is possible to optimize indicators of the technical implementation of the built-in control scheme complexity by choosing the simplest blocks for calculating correcting functions from their entire variety.

A new method for intelligent quasi-indifferent data aggregation of heterogeneous wireless sensor networks is presented. The essence of the method consists in converting the initial vectors of values recorded by the sensor nodes to vectors of values of the coefficients of piecewise polynomial regression containing a smaller number of elements, as well as in forming them into groups by calculating the Chebyshev distance with subsequent comparison with a threshold value. The developed method includes the stage of data adaptation to anomalies, which is provided by calculating and comparing with the threshold value of the scaled mean absolute deviation. The method is focused on the use in the hardware and software logic of local computing devices — sensor nodes — and can serve as a basis when designing various routing protocols for heterogeneous wireless sensor networks.

The ways of increasing a radar station detecting ability are analyzed and a promising software and hardware architecture are presented. As an original solution, a principle of synthesizing a virtual aperture is substantiated. The principle is based on extrapolation of the antenna array aperture function as applied to solving the problem of detecting stationary objects in condition of reliable background and target setting. The algorithm for virtual aperture synthesizing is considered in detail and a variant of its implementation is described. The main calculation ratios are formulated, and simulation data are presented.

A new numerical method is developed for optimization of robust control over robotic and mechatronic systems. The method is based on minimizing the maximum of control system frequency response to disturbance in coordinate under regulation. The system stability is ensured by a new method of limiting the search area for the regulator parameters, based on the stability margin radius. This optimization method consists of parametric and structural tuning of the control system. Correctness of the proposed method is confirmed by presented results of numerical experiments.

The issues of ensuring operational reliability of modular sources of secondary power supply by applying redundancy of their power channels are considered. Methods of the theory of reliability and simulation are used. An analysis of main ways of redundancy of modular secondary power supply sources (loaded, unloaded, mixed) and the features of their power channels functioning (time schedules of channel operation, change in the load of operating channels, channel failures during their switching) is presented. With the use of a specialized program implementing the Monte Carlo method, computational experiments are carried out to assess the probability of failure-free operation with various methods of redundancy. It is shown that for a modular secondary power supply source, it is impossible to pre-assign a redundancy method providing the highest probability of failure-free operation, since the same method can give both better and worse results in comparison with other methods of redundancy, depending on the power channels functioning. Based on presented analysis of obtained results, conclusions are drawn about the effectiveness of various redundancy methods and recommendations for their application are given.

Information on aircraft speed vector module and direction relative to the aircraft's longitudinal axis, determined by the aerodynamic angles of attack and slip, is noted to be of importance for the aircraft piloting and ensuring safety of its movement in the atmosphere. An analysis of available means for determining the airspeed vector, which include the aerodynamic, vane, vortex and ion-beacon methods for measuring the incoming air flow parameters, is carried out. Restrictions on the methods application in the case of a small aircraft are considered. A functional diagram of an integrated electronic sensor of air velocity vector parameters of a small aircraft with ultrasonic measuring channels is presented. Distinctive feature of the sensor is the use of two pairs of combined emitters and receivers of ultrasonic vibrations propagating in the directions of the incoming air flow and against the flow and registered by an electronic measuring circuit with two measuring channels. Analytical models are developed for formation and processing of informative signals, for determining the air speed vector parameters of a small aircraft by frequency, time-pulse and phase informative signals of ultrasonic measuring channels. The competitive advantages and prospects of using the electronic sensor of airspeed vector parameters on small manned and unmanned aircraft are described.
