Abstract. For system with periodical structure variation, a limiting model is derived in the form of a vector – matrix differential equation. The model describes the system limit when period of the structure variation tends to zero. The model is applied to examine a pulsed dc step-up transformer. Mathematical modeling is used to estimate the proximity of continuous limiting model to actual alternating structure system.
