Abstract. Thermo physical and mathematical models are developed for joint of structural components. Thermal fields in elements are taken to be one-dimensional, coefficients of thermal conductivity of materials and heat transfer are supposed to be independent of temperature and coordinates; heat transfer through external surfaces of the elements is neglected. Exact expressions and approximate formulas in particular cases are derived for thermal resistance of the joint at coinciding and opposite directions of input and output thermal flows.
