COMPARATIVE CHARACTERIZATION OF PROGRAMS FOR MULTIFRACTAL ANALYSIS Виноградова А. А., Trutnenko
35
Brief presentation of fractal and multifractal is given. Three types of multifractal analysis based on three different programs for Linux, Fractan, and Multifrac are analyzed. Comparison of the programs characteristics is performed.

NONDESTRUCTIVE TESTING

39
A theoretical model of excitation and propagation of ultrasonic waves in thin-walled soldered structure is developed. The waves in question are excited due to thermo-optical effect caused by absorption of pulsed laser radiation in the soldered thin-walled product of space-rocket technique under testing.
45
Applicability of laser-ultrasonic method for estimation of residual stress in thin-walled elements is studied experimentally. The investigation is carried out with the use of a laser-ultrasonic defectoscope and laser acoustooptical converters of longitudinal and superficial Raleigh waves.
50
Laser-ultrasonic method is applied for quality control of thin-walled elements of liquid-propellant rocket engine elements. Results of the experiments are checked upon hydro test strength data.

The experimental goal of MuSUN experiment at Paul Scherrer Institute (PSI) is a high-precision measurement of the rate for μ-meson capture by deuteron to better than 1,5 %. Experimental technique based on Cryogenic Time Projection Chamber (CryoTPC) specially developed at St. Petersburg Nuclear Physics Institute is applied. The chamber is filled with deuterium of ultra-high isotopic and chemical purity. The detector is cooled by closed neon circulation system. Basic operation principles of the CryoTPC and its cooling system are described.
INSTRUMENTATION FOR EXPERIMENTAL STUDY OF CROSS SECTION OF DD-NUCLEAR FUSION REACTION WITH POLARIZED COMPONENTS IN POLFUSION PROJECT Alexander A. Vasiliev, Marat E. Vznuzdaev, Ilya Yu. Ivanov, Kiselev Sergey S., Marusina Maria Ya., Peter A. Kravtsov, Alexander V. Nadtochy, Viktor A. Trofimov, Leonid M. Kotchenda, Sergey N. Terekhin

The polarized atomic beam sources are to be utilized in experiments to measure the cross sections of nuclear fusion reactions d + d → 3He + n and d + 3He→ 4He + p with polarized components. The proposed experiment is supposed to allow for measurements providing a significant contribution to fundamental research on nuclear fusion reactions and astrophysical research.

TWO-COORDINATE ROTATABLE PLATFORM Kiselev Sergey S., Marusina Maria Ya., Meshkovsky Igor K., Gennady B. Daineka, Mihail Marusin, Vyacheslav A. Loparev, Maxim N. Shugaev
68
The possibility is analyzed for development of rotatable platform based on application of a leverage (such as arms and rods) instead of direct turn drives.
SOFTWARE TOOL FOR STUDY OF MATHEMATICAL MODELS OF PRECISION TRIPOD Marusina Maria Ya., Kiselev Sergey S., Антонов С. Е., Lyamin Andrey Vladimirovich, Fedosov Yury V
72
Approaches to the problem of development of automated system for precision tripod study are formulated. Limitations imposed by the employed mathematical model are analyzed; tripod positioning, configuration space of the system, and linear motion of the tripod are considered. An example of the system visual presentation is given.
THE QUALITY OF WINDING OF FIBER-OPTIC GYROSCOPE SENSOR Meshkovsky Igor K., Kiselev Sergey S., Kulikov Andrey Vladimirovich, Novikov Roman L, Унтилов А. А.
76
The problem of manufacturing quality of a fiber-optic gyroscope sensor is discussed. Data obtained during the winding coils are analyzed. The major defects of the quadrupole winding and the nature of its occurrence are identified. The problem of precision installation of winding pitch is considered
