Abstract. Information network in the shape of a cube with information processing units in its corners connected by constant probabilistic links is considered. Information work performed by the network is estimated via the probability distribution density function. Advantages of the volumetric network over flat-topology network are analyzed. A probabilistic model for external effects on the network units is proposed, an example of model-based estimate of work quantity is presented for the case when the first unit of the network is under influence.
