Abstract. A possibility of CAD-system application for design of parametric model of workpiece under construction is considered. A program is presented allowing for developing the parametric model in Catia V5 system. A method for transferring the parametric model from CAD into an automated system of design of technological process as a XML-document is proposed. The SVG format is shown to be integrated in XML-document for a vector model of a workpiece.
