Abstract. Informational system security threat modeling method is developed using approximating functions designed on the base of pre-built Markov model of attack threat. The information system is considered as a system with failures and restorations of security characteristic function. The proposed method allows deriving principally new and important informational system security characteristics to be used in security system design.
Keywords: informational security, attack threat, security threat, modeling, Markov process, approximating function
