ROBOTIC DEFECTOSCOPE FOR DIAGNOSTIC OF PIPELINES STATE

Abstract. A robotic complex for diagnosing the condition of pipelines and welded joints is presented. The structure of the complex includes a robotic delivery vehicle, a sensor made by the technology of phased antenna arrays with electromagnetic-acoustic converters and a remote-control system. Distinctive features of the developed complex are diagnostics without prior cleaning of the tested metal surface of the pipeline and an automated remote control of the flaw detector by wireless communication channel.
