Abstract. Dependence is investigated of distribution law for fluctuations of IR signal from near-horizon area of the sea on observation conditions and optical system parameters. The results are applied to development of automated signal processing in optoelectronic systems. Recommendations are formulated on selection of methods for processing algorithm adaptation to current observation conditions.
