Abstract. A portable medical data-measuring system (MDMS) designed for functional diagnostics of organs of human gastrointestinal tract is considered. Mathematical methods applied for processing of electrogastrogram, including wavelet signal analysis are described. It is emphasized that the relatively low-cost system provides a non-invasive examination and makes it possible to obtain operatively numerical values of medical indices; it is applicable also for analysis of nonstationary processes.
