Abstract. An original approach is proposed to realization of invariant opto-electronic instrument for measurement of velocity of lengthy object movement. Distinctive feature of the approach consists in application of dual-channel outline of image analysis with the use of cross-channel links to compensate for errors caused by optical nonhomogeneity of the object surface.
