Abstract. The structure of a new quasi-distributed fiber-optic temperature sensor intended for in-situ thermometry at extraction of high-viscosity oil is presented. The principle of the sensor operation is based on registration of recirculating frequency of single pulses with their periodic regeneration at various wavelengths.
