Abstract.   Dynamics of control system with sinusoidal pulse-width modulation is studied. Bifurcation analysis of a 2D model of single-phase pulse-width modulated inverter is carried out. It is shown that along with classical Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, the system demonstrates an invariant torus originated from a periodic motion through a border-collision bifurcation.
Keywords:   single-phase inverter, border-collision bifurcation, invariant torus, piecewise-smooth dynamical systems
