Abstract. Efficiency-related features of information network are considered. The concept of efficiency is refined. Volume of information work carried out by a network is proposed for a numeric characteristic of the network efficiency. An important property of a network - interaction between its components is analyzed. A model is proposed for calculation of probability of executed work volume for simple and complex network structure. Information efficiency of a network is shown to increase considerably when the network complexity grows. Recommendations for practical use of the results are formulated.
