Abstract. A variant of symmetric knapsack cryptosystem with packing density above one is proposed. The latter feature makes the system resistant to L3-attack with polynomial speed characteristic developed by Lagarias and Odlyzko. The proposed algorithms of encryption and decoding are based on shared memory protocols and use Fibonacci-type basis.
