Abstract. A method for selection of governing characteristics for maintenance of a desired temperature in the spacecraft is proposed. The method is based on calculation of the steady-state thermal condition along the shadow and solar path sections; the absence of the solar power on the shadow path section is compensated by inner source of heat.
