The problem of decision rules formulation in development of algorithms for a system technical state determination is analyzed. The algorithms in question are based on the combinational or the stepwise methods adapted to the tasks of functioning control, work capacity control, and failure search. Special consideration is given to correct account for time-correlation of separate events in stating the decision rules in control of system functioning.

The creation of finite elements library for CAD of modern reed switches for alarm systems is considered. History of reed switch design and manufacturing is discussed, comparative analysis of Russian and foreign-made switches is presented.

DEVICES AND SYSTEMS OF AUTOMATIC CONTROL

25
Relation between random variations of an aircraft control system parameters and the aircraft state characteristics at a fixed moment is considered. The problem of development of a linear model describing the relation is addressed. Values of the model parameters are derived by minimization of an integral functional under limiting conditions in the form of nonlinear matrix equation. An analytical solution to the variational problem is obtained, and advantage of the developed model as compared with the known model based on sensitivity factors is demonstrated.

The problem of adaptive control is solved for a specific class of nonlinear non-minimum phase objects. It is shown that algorithm designed for minimum-phase objects is applicable also for non-minimum objects systems under conditions derived.

FINE MECHANICS DEVICES

Efficiency of a new criterion of metrological reliability is demonstrated by the example of technical condition testing of measuring instruments used in scientific work and student training. Recommendations are formulated to improve training quality in operation of new facilities.
SCALE DIVISION AND RESOLVING CAPACITY OF THE SCALE Valentin A. Kulikov, Alexander V. Kulikov
44
A concept of a scale definition capability is introduced to relate to the readings distribution. The concept provides the basis for correlation of scale division value (resolution) and the instrument accuracy, random and systematic errors, and measurement error estimation.

ELECTRONIC AND ELECTROMAGNETIC DEVICES

48
A method to improve the quality of output voltage stabilization for pulsed DC converter is considered. The method is based on combination of perturbation action control (main control) with control over deviation of output voltage from a designated value. The possibility to depress the converter resonant features and to reduce the deviations by increase in output capacitor value is demonstrated. The effect of the converter nonlinearity on output voltage stabilization quality is assessed.

A setup for measurement of magnetic permeability of steel specimens under tensile elastic deformation is described. Theoretical background of the approach and the measuring method are presented. Dependence of magnetic permeability components on loadings value, magnitude and frequency of magnetic field, and on the specimen material structure is studied with the use of graphical interpretation of experimental data.

Integrated criteria of optical homogeneity of high-power laser active medium are discussed. Optimization of laser amplifier is shown to account for both power characteristics and effectiveness of laser radiation energy transmission to operation zone. Specifics of optimal scaling for laser amplifier operated under linear and saturated amplification conditions for regular and statistical phase inhomogeneity of the active medium are revealed.

Basic design features and technical performance characteristics of laboratory colorimetric detector based on three-element RGB-photodiode with three optical filters for measuring of color parameters of transparent and diffuse reflective objects are considered. The detector calibration procedure is discussed. Results of test measurements carried out with colored glasses and diffuse reflectors are presented.
