METHODS OF DIGITAL IMAGE PROCESSING

7
Optic-electronic systems designed for analysis and recognition of object images in a wide range of applications are considered. The problems of improvement of the image quality with the use of newly developed methods, algorithms, and hardware are discussed.
SYNTHESIS OF THE STRUCTURE OF ADAPTABLE INTELLIGENT INTERFACE FOR TECHNICAL VISION SYSTEM Yury P. Mukha, Irina Yu. Koroleva, Artem D. Korolev, Dmitry V. Titov
11
The problems of information transfer for technical vision systems are considered. Application of Adaptable Intelligent Interface (AII) is proposed as a possible solution to these problems. AII operation is formalized with the use of mathematical theory of categories.
A METHOD FOR LOCALIZATION OF EXTENDED GEOSPATIAL OBJECTS WITH SATELLITE IMAGES Sergey Yu. Miroshnichenko, Vitaly S. Titov, Anna A. Yaschenko
17
A method for localization of extended geospatial objects using satellite images is developed. The method provides a precise automatic creation of a road network layer; the high precision is attained by application of a FIR-filter accounting for characteristic features of the road network layer objects.

COMPUTER TECHNIQUES

23
Description of profiling results and bottlenecks analysis of program implementation of parallel-sequential method are presented. The cost of computations with the use of algorithmic optimization is shown to reduce by a factor of 30.
30
A method and algorithm for partition of parallel graph-schemes using adjacent neighborhood within greedy sequential approach are proposed. Numerical estimates of obtained partitions are presented.
QUALITY ANALYSIS OF PARALLEL SUBROUTINES ARRANGEMENT IN MATRIX MULTICONTROLLERS Denis O. Bobyntsev, Dmitry B. Borzov, Aleksander P. Tipikin
35
The problem of arrangement of parallel subroutines in matrix multi-controllers is considered. A simulation algorithm is used for comparative analysis of arrangement quality based on the known criteria. Advantages of the mini-max criterion are revealed.
REARRANGEMENT OF SUBROUTINES IN FAULT-TOLERANT MULTI-PROCESSOR SYSTEMS Dmitry B. Borzov, Yulia V. Sokolova, Viktor V. Minaylov
39
The problem of failure in multi-processor systems is considered. Necessity of rearrangement of subroutines with the account for failed processors of the system is justified. An algorithm for fault-tolerant rearrangement in the case of the system host processor failure is proposed.
44
Basic principles of built-in hardware-level self-test in mesh-connected logical multi-controllers are formulated. The aim of the approach is an efficient detection of faulty units based on recurring mutual physical neighbor test actions and making faulty/non-faulty decision using the majority operation.

MEANS OF TV IMAGE PROCESSING

A REED—SOLOMON DECODER FOR DVB Sergey I. Egorov, Vitaly S. Titov, Oleg B. Grafov
50
A design of Reed—Solomon decoder for DVB is presented. Soft-decision decoding is implemented in the decoder. This decoder provides high performance using error pattern filtering by total error pattern reliability.
LDPC-DECODER FOR DVB Sergey I. Egorov, Vadim O. Avdeev, Eduard I. Vatutin, Vladimir S. Panishchev
54
A design of LDPC-decoder for DVB is presented. The proposed design provides a minimal degradation of correction ability and calls for a simplified hardware.

INSTRUMENTS, DEVICES, AND SYSTEMS OF AUTOMATED CONTROL

60
Stages of adaptive fuzzy-logic control system design are considered. The system operation principle may be judged from presented structural schemes of the adaptive system and its components.
66
The problems related to design of adaptive fuzzy-logic control system are considered. The system operation principle may be judged from presented structural schemes of the adaptive system.
71
An automated system for management of technological operations of grinding process is proposed. The system feature is application of fuzzy logic methods to control over the treated workpiece surface parameters.
QUASIPERIODIC DYNAMICS OF CONTROL SYSTEM WITH PULSE-WIDTH MODULATION Zhanybai Т. Zhusubaliyev, Alexey I. Andriyanov, Alexander A. Mikhalev, Vladimir V. Shein
75
Dynamics of control system with sinusoidal pulse-width modulation is studied. Bifurcation analysis of a 2D model of single-phase pulse-width modulated inverter is carried out. It is shown that along with classical Neimark–Sacker bifurcation, the system demonstrates an invariant torus originated from a periodic motion through a border-collision bifurcation.
81
Devices and methods for determination of generalized parameters of multiple-unit two-terminal network are considered. The measuring circuit is subject to voltage pulses described by a function of exponent type in time.
